And here we go again to Andermatt! A trip to Andermatt is destined for success, as in the previous 6 seasons. So if you're not new to the club, you have surely been there, you know what this is about. So why again? Because this small village located in the heart of the Gotthard region is one of the closest freeride areas to Frankfurt, and because it offers some of the best off-piste terrain in the Alps. It has numerous routes from the top of Gemsstock, over Guspis or Felsental down to Hospental, but also on the opposite side with the famous "giraffe" down to Unteralp. Steep slopes, and untouched snow if you're lucky. And some more hiking and walking if you're adventurous. The less adventurous will have the choice between the blue, red, and black runs of the Gemsstock side or those of the Gütsch/Nätschen side (see our programme!). As in previous years we'll be staying in the village at hotel Badus. The village is rather small but offers a few opportunities to relax after the skiing. From that perspective too, Andermatt is pure and wild. The only downside: we've seen it, it's getting more and more famous. So come to enjoy it before it's overcrowded! |
