#12 Schwarzwald, Germany
27 February 2010

The traditional trip to Schwartzwald is THE opportunity for those to enjoy one good day of skiing or snowboarding after an easy bus ride from Frankfurt. It is also a great opportunity for the beginners to discover the joys of wintersport at the lowest price. Whichever sport you would like to test (skiing? snowboarding?), the club offers you the lessons. … with this unique opportunity (risk?) of getting addicted to it and joinging the FSC for life. A detailed programme of exercises is provided for more experienced skiers and snowboarders.
The bus will pick you up in Frankfurt on Saturday morning and take you to the Black Forest (hence the name of the trip!) in Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany. There, the 28 lifts serve more than 50 km of runs around the 1493m high Feldberg surrounded by picturesque forrests. The largest area is the Wintersportzentrum Feldberg with its 14 lifts and its FIS-worldcup run, including the Seebuck with its highest elevation of 1448m and the Grafenmatt. If you are not into downhill skiing, no worries, as the area offers many cross-country trails. On the way-back, we intend to renew with the traditional Autobahn stop for a nice dinner. So if you want a cosy week-end, enjoying a day out of Frankfurt while avoiding the stress of packing, come and join this trip, it's cheap and one day only.
