After last year's successes in Portes du Soleil, this trip had to be offered again to members. It is surely one of the biggest areas the club is heading to this season with 3 vallées / Val Thorens and Verbier / 4 vallées. The figures themselves are impressive: 13 interconnected resorts, 288 pistes for a total of 650 kms, served by over 200 lifts. It particularly suits well to beginners and intermediates thanks to its great variety of blue and red runs. The half-pipe of Avoriaz or the famous steep black "Swiss Wall" are also worth visiting for expert skiers and snowboarders. A detailed programme is available for all levels, under the guidance of Übungsleiter.
Our hotel is the 3* Hotel National located in the centre of Champéry, in Switzerland, within walking distance to the lifts. Do not forget your passport in the morning as a big part of the interesting runs and villages is on the French side. In any case, wherever you go, the numerous mountain restaurants will treat you well with Swiss-French or Franco-French specialties, from the cheese fondue to the tartiflette or croute. |
