#15 St. Anton / Arlberg, Austria 18 - 21 March 2010
After Lech in December, we are visiting the Arlberg again this season with this 3-day trip to the typically Austrian but world-known and now very international village of Sankt Anton. St. Anton is definitely the heart of the Arlberg area, as big as coevered by 260 km of runs split in 5 resorts (Lech, Zürs, St. Jakob, and St. Christoph, in addition to St. Anton). Staying 3 days there, 1 day of guiding / instruction, offered by the club, had to be part of the programme. The selection of runs for intermediates and advanced skiers and snowboarders is very high so it is for the expert groups, who will be led by one of the main team of guides in the Arlberg. A programme has been defined for the 2 other days - see below - so that within 3 days Galzig, the Rendl, or the Gampen/Kapall will have no secret for you any longer. Finally, further exercising at the (now former) KK or MW is optional but usually never refused by our members. This season, we are back in one of the hotels we really appreciate as the club stayed there many years in a row: the 3* Olympia hotel in Pettneu am Arlberg, a village very close (4 km) to St. Anton. The FSC bus is planned to take you to the lift in Nasserein, but these are also easily reachable, within 10 minutes, via the local regular, free shuttles. |
