#17 Davos, Switzerland
1 - 5 April 2010

The annual opportunity to hunt Easter (snow) bunnies is taking place this season in Davos. Because it is a 4-day trip, it is also a chance to take advantage of one of the largest resorts in Switzerland, which covers 318km of 85 prepared pistes served by 61 modern lifts. It includes the 2 main areas Jakobshorn and Parsenn-/Gotschna, the 3 traditional family-oriented Pischa, Madrisa and Rinerhorn... And the new Schatzalp/Strela area accessible within 4 minutes form Davos-Platz via a renovated funicular.
Friday may be the right day for the Parsenn area as it offers night-skiing. The intermediate to expert skiers and boarders will go carving and cruising on the wide and open runs, especially the 12km long, 2000m vertical mega-run to Küblis linking Davos to Klosters while ski touring afficionados may try to go touring around the Schatzalp / Weissfluhjoch area, from the top of which many routes take you down Frauenkirch for a wild ride. Another day should definitely be dedicated to the Jakobshorn side. There, the freeriders can join the traditional off-piste down to Teufi, leaving the rest of the group further working on their carving skills on the blue and red runs, practising their 360, 720 (or more) in the fun-park or on the 2 half pipes, or simply cooling down at the Jatzhütte. At the end of the day, everyone should meet at the Bolgen Plaza to share their experiences. One planned highlight for the trip will be a "race-against-the-clock" between all club members, using the speedcheck run along Rapid chairlift between Weissfluhjoch and middle station Höhenweg, on the Parsenn side.
Again this season, we will be staying in Davos Dorf at the 4* Turmhotel Victoria and its fitness and wellness areas offering two saunas, a steam room and whirlpool.
