#20 Ischgl, Austria 29 April - 2 May 2010
Usually referred to as the "end-of-season trip" or the "top-of-the-mountain-party trip", this 3-day escapade to Ischgl is a long favorite to FSC members. It is indeed the occasion for a last brush of your skiing and snowboarding skills before the summer, and the opportunity to take advantage of the great atmosphere on the Idalp and in town, usually related to the visit of a famous artist (but not only). The skiing day may finish a little earlier as for other trips, but the Silvretta Arena is such a large area with over 200Km of prepared pistes, 90% of which are over 2000m, that this is likely to be the icing on the cake of your season. The programme is simple: ski touring, spring skiing, and fun. Here we are in the heart of the Silvretta region. Ski touring around the Val Gronda to the Heidelberger Hütte or Fimbaalp or shorter tours around the Visnitzkopf, or cross-border rides on blue or red runs (to Switzerland for the last time of the season!), directly down to Samnaun via the Dutyfree run, or towards Alp Trida. Welcoming us for the third year in a row, our 3* hotel Persura is now entering into a special partnership with FSC - and good for us as it is so well located at the heart of the village, right at the bottom of the Silvrettbahn/Kuhstahl. So if you think it is time to improve your skills on spring snow, once for all, join the crowd to Ischgl. And who knows, maybe you'll have the chance, this year again, to enjoy some entertainment by Mr. GHD? |
