World famous Davos, the highest town in Europe, the birthplace of European skiing, is one of Switzerland’s biggest ski areas. The longest marked piste is 15 km, longest off-piste is 24km. There are is a huge choice of skiing and snowboarding for all standards, including some of the best cruising runs in the Alps. Freeriding choices abound; a guide is essential, never go off-piste without being fully equipped.
Our skipass covers the two main areas – Parsenn and Jakobshorn. The Parsenn Bahn in Davos Dorf is a short shuttle bus ride on the from our hotel. If you want to give your knees a pounding, try the bumps under the Schwarzeealp chair! Or ski to Klosters and return on the Gotschnagrat Bahn. The more adventurous and experienced could end the day on the long run to Küblis and take the train back to Davos – included in the skipass.
Our centrally located recently renovated simple Hotel Ochsen is in Davos Platz, a short walk from the Jakobshorn. Don’t miss this area with its 40km of slopes, 13km of ski routes, the “Jatz Park” and a superpipe. And don't forget to bring a small inexpensive gift to share in our Secret Santa! Take the option of traditional fondue at the charismatic rustic Teufi on Saturday night.
We are doing our best to offer exciting and safe trips for our season 2024 / 25. Please try to support the club as much as you can so that we can offer you more trips to the mountains.
