Hintertux is arguably the best glacier resort in Austria! The ski lifts whisk you to a breathtaking 3250m and the glacier offers skiing and boarder park fun 365 days a year. At this time of year we have a great chance of excellent snow conditions and we will hopefully find ourselves playing in fresh powder. Away from the slopes, a visit to the Nature Ice Palace or the Spannagel Cave, two unique natural gems, is one of the absolute highlights on the Hintertux Glacier all year round!

The lift system covers an area from 1500 to 3250m and offers a wide range of pistes to intermediate and advanced skiers. Let the Gletscherbus gondola take you to enjoy the pistes on the Gefrorene Wand. Check out the wonderful cruising runs beside the Kasserer lifts. You may also find fantastic powder on the south beside the Schlegeis glacier, on the back side of the Gefrorene Wand. Free-skiers and those of you from the dark side can display your skills on the Betterpark. This is a glacier, so please remember to stay on piste unless you are with a local certified guide – we don't want to lose you in a crevasse!

Lunch can be had at the Gletscherhütte or sitting outside at the sun trap that is the Tuxer Fernerhaus. After skiing relax in the wellness area  at our Hotel Kirchlerhof, a short ride by shuttle bus to the glacier. And then enjoy the hotel's excellent cuisine.
