Many of you wanted to return to this historic ski region following last season's success -at least partially so you could see where you skied! On one side lie the resorts of Grindelwald and Wengen, where the Mönch mountain protects the Jungfrau from the Eiger. This extensive area has a great variety of ski runs. The transport system includes mountain cog trains and a good place for lunch is the station restaurant at Kleine Scheidegg.
On the other side we find the Schiltorn above Mürrhen, where the Brits in the shape of Sir Edmund Lunn invented ski racing. Have lunch at the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant at the top of the Schilthorn, check out the scenery, take a look at Spy World - the James Bond Museum there (on Her Majesty's Secret Service was partially filmed there).
This season we stay in the simple Hotel Schützen in Lauterbrünnen, which is perfectly poised between these areas - a short walk to the cog trains to take you to the glorious slopes the region offers.
We are doing our best to offer exciting and safe trips for our season 2024 / 25. Please try to support the club as much as you can so that we can offer you more trips to the mountains.
